Womanhood

For this age range, I’m talking about the mid-20s to mid-50s! The real bulk of our womanhood.

During these decades, your life and your body go through so many changes. Perhaps you settle into a career and focus more on your health. Perhaps you start a family or go back to school! Perhaps things don’t work as smoothly as they did before. Perhaps life throws so many curveballs at you that you can’t tell what way is up most days.

I know when I first felt like I was finally (read: I was not… are we ever?) hitting my stride as a woman and in my life, I felt ready to tackle myself. Get to know me better. As I stated in my previous post about early womanhood, it took me a lot of years to realize that although I was happy in not conforming to societal body and beauty “standards”, my body didn’t feel good. I began to realize that a lot of things I just accepted (or was told) were normal symptoms to feel or have, which were not in fact, “normal” for my body. Or even for any woman’s body for that matter. Thus started my journey (which I later discovered was my passion) into allowing food to nourish my body, its functions, and my hormones.

As I continue with my wellness journey, it constantly ebbs and flows. Sometimes I can dedicate a lot of my focus and energy towards nourishing my body and mind, and other times I am barely shoving my kids’ discarded food in my mouth, chugging caffeine, and trying to convince myself that washing my face was all the self-care I needed that day. It’s called balance.

What doesn’t ebb and flow is my knowledge that every bit of food you put in your body can nourish you. That you DO NOT need to accept feeling just okay. That it does NOT have to be your norm to have irregular or painful cycles. That adrenal fatigue is not a badge of honor as a woman and that it affects more than just feeling tired.

If you are ready to feel empowered in your body and your health, check out my services, especially my Wholistic Personal Nutrition Plan. This plan offers the most support with the most gradual timeframe, allowing for changes to happen naturally as you are ready. It also gives the most bang for your buck in terms of what is included.

Let me help you get some parts of your life in balance, because who has it all figured out?!
