I’m Jenn- founder of Nourish Women’s Wellness and foodie extraordinaire. As a professional Certified in Holistic Nutrition, I am trained to provide you with the knowledge and the HOW behind food and nutrition- how everything in our body is connected and how to bring your body back into balance. BUT… as a foodie, growing up with a French cuisine chef for a dad, I am practiced in loving food and refusing to live a restrictive life. Food brings me joy. Feeling good in my body brings me joy. And I refuse to operate with those two joys existing independently.
When I started my health journey towards feeling better and more balanced in my body, I realized how many “truths” I had to unlearn for myself. Ideas and beliefs are targeted at women through society and media. While going through the journey of having my two children, I even saw and experienced a huge lack of knowledge and understanding surrounding female health and hormones that I, as I’m sure many women can relate to, was taught and believed for the first 20+ years of my life. That only prescribed medications could aid hormone balance and regulation, or symptoms and experiences are just deemed “normal” for women to live with and suffer through.
But I decided, no! No more. No more this or that thinking. This or that living. No more I can eat this plain salad and be “healthy” OR I can eat pasta and be “unhealthy'“ but happy.
